The
Municipal Court hears all violations of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle
Laws, petty disorderly persons, disorderly persons offenses, violation
of city ordinances and other violations of housing and construction
codes.

Paying Tickets By Mail
You
can also pay by mail to the address above. Please include the
ticket or a copy with your check or money order. Do not send
cash. Please include a self-stamped address envelope if you would
like a receipt. If payment is received after the appearance date,
you may be assessed additional penalties.
Paying Tickets In Person
You
may pay your ticket in person at the Violations Bureau, located at 313
Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ. Please bring your ticket
with a check or money order between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Contesting Tickets
If
you plan to enter a not guilty plea to a traffic summons, you must
notify the Court Administrator at least 5 days prior to your scheduled
court date. If you fail to do so, it may be necessary for you to make
two court appearances. Only those tickets with a checked court
appearance date will be listed for court. If you have a summons
that does not require a court appearance, but would like to appear,
please follow the procedure above.
Failure To Appear
If
you fail to appear in response to a summons or to pay the penalty,
additional charges may result. A warrant for your arrest may be
issued, and your driving privileges in New Jersey may be
suspended. If you have been issued a parking ticket, and fail to
appear or pay the penalty, the owner of the vehicle may be subject to
the same consequences listed above. If you have any questions for

Paying Tickets Online
In coalition with the State of New Jersey,
we
now provide an online payment service. Payable moving tickets
and parking tickets can be paid on the internet using VISA and
MASTERCARD. Directions for payment, frequently asked
questions, information on the Point System and more can be found on
this site. To pay tickets on-line,
you will need the Court Code, Ticket Number including the letter
prefix, License Plate Number and a valid credit card (VISA or

Directions To Municipal Court of Gloucester City
From North Jersey - NJ Turnpike South
Take
Turnpike South to Exit 3-Bellmawr. Turn right onto Rte 168 North (Black
Horse Pike). At the 6th light, turn left onto Kings Highway (Harwan
Theater on left/Mobil Gas Station on right). Continue until you come to
the 7-Eleven Store and Bert’s Auto Body. Make a right onto Market
Street. Continue on Market Street. You will cross over Rte 130 North
and South. Continue to the end of Market Street. Turn right onto King Street. Go four streets down and turn right onto Monmouth Street. The City Hall Building will be on the left.
From the Jersey Shore – Atlantic City Expressway
Take
the Atlantic City Expressway to 42 North (stay in middle lane until you
pass 295 N Trenton – then move to the right lane). Take Exit 1C –
Gloucester/Mt. Ephraim. When you reach the top of the exit, turn left
onto Market Street. Continue on Market Street. You will cross over Rte
130 North and South. Continue to the end of Market Street. Turn right
onto King Street. Go four streets down and turn right onto Monmouth
Street. The City Hall Building will be on the left.
From 295 South
Take
295 South to Exit 26 – Camden/Philadelphia. Follow to Exit 1C
Gloucester/Mt. Ephraim. At top of exit, turn left onto Market Street.
Continue on Market Street. You will cross over Rte 130 N and S.
Continue to the end of Market Street. Turn right onto King Street. Go
four streets down and turn right onto Monmouth Street. The City Hall
Building will be on the left.
From 295 North
Take
295 North to Exit Local 76 Camden/Trenton. At bottom of exit, bear to
the left. Follow signs for Walt Whitman Bridge/Camden. Follow to Exit
1C – Gloucester/Mt. Ephraim. At the top of exit, turn left onto Market
Street. Continue on Market Street. You will cross over Rte 130 North
and South. Continue to the end of Market Street. Turn right onto King
Street. Go four streets down and turn right onto Monmouth Street. The
City Hall Building will be on the left.
From Philadelphia – Ben Franklin Bridge
Take
the Ben Franklin Bridge to 676 East. Take the Gloucester/Collingswood
Exit. At the top of exit, bear right to dead end (Essex Street). Turn
right. Continue on Essex Street and make a left onto King Street. Turn
left onto Monmouth Street. The City Hall Building will be on the left.
From Philadelphia – Walt Whitman Bridge
Take
the Walt Whitman Bridge to Rte 130 South to Market Street (Ramada Inn
on left side). Make a right onto Market St. and continue to end. Turn
right onto King Street. Go four streets and turn right onto Monmouth
Street. The City Hall Building will be on the left.
