Councilman Dayl Baile and Bruce Parry have announced the program for the May 31, 2021, Memorial Day Service.

Beginning at the Union Cemetery at 9 am, all are welcome to honor the fallen veterans at each cemetery in the City. The procession will conclude at 11 am at the Veterans’ Monument on Broadway at Monmouth Streets. Honorary speakers will include Assemblyman Bill Moen from the 5th Legislative District. The ceremony will include placing of the wreaths and a reading of the memorial list, followed by a rifle salute, taps and raising of the flag. All veterans are welcome to participate in the event. At the conclusion of the service, everyone is welcome to parade to the Freedom Pier for the launching of the memorial boat.
