CBDG-CV1 Covid Relief Business Grant Awards Continue

Mayor Baile and City Council are pleased to announce the first round of Gloucester City CDBG-CV1 Business Recovery Grant awards.  Charles Wigginton, Esq., Gloucester Travel, Solutions in Warehousing Inc., and Chubby's Steakhouse have been awarded the maximum of $7,500 for business assistance after suffering negative business impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.  Several other local businesses are being reviewed and expect to be awarded soon.  If your business in Gloucester City was in operation during 2019-2021, this program may help your ability to maintain your business operations in Gloucester City.    Funds were granted through a Community Development Block Grant awarded in 2021 in the amount of $370,684. Other uses for the CDBG-CV funds include improving communications with the senior population via public information software installed at the senior facilities, and public meeting recording equipment for the courtroom.  Click here to begin your application.  For more details, contact Lori Ryan, Director of Community Development, at 856-456-7012 or email lryan@cityofgloucester.org.
